Queer for Fear Live!

Queer for Fear Live! is a show that blends scholarly analysis with live performance in a mix of academic insights, personal anecdotes, and drag performance art, all while highlighting the key themes from the book Queer for Fear: Horror Film and the Queer Spectator. Drag legend Peaches Christ and scholar Dr. Heather O. Petrocelli have created an engaging, thought-provoking, and entertaining show that not only educates audiences, but also celebrates queer culture and the queer love of horror.

A horror movie-style promotional poster for "Queer for Fear Live!" featuring drag performer Peaches Christ wearing 3D glasses and a dark sequined outfit with flowing red hair against a black background, alongside Dr. Heather Q. Petrocelli. The text announces a free event with "DRAG! LECTURE! CHAT!" at Wayne State University's Community Arts Auditorium on January 16 at 7 PM. The title "QUEER FOR FEAR" appears in large, distressed red lettering reminiscent of horror movie fonts. The CGS (Center for Gender and Sexuality) logo appears in the top right corner, and the Wayne State University shield is at the bottom.
