ZOMBIELAND

A still from "Zombieland" (2009) showing actor Bill Murray in a close-up shot. He appears disheveled with long, messy dark hair and makeup that makes him look undead or zombie-like, with dark circles around his eyes. He's wearing a blue jacket with a light-colored shirt and has a subtle, characteristically wry expression on his face. The scene is lit with warm, golden tones, and there's a blurred beige wall with framed artwork in the background.

I started this massive film-viewing endeavor with the last film on the list alphabetically — Zombieland (2009). After living through the last 16 months, I have a visceral understanding of Columbus's observation: "It's amazing how quickly things can go from bad to total shit storm." This is only the second time I've seen this film (the first being in the theatre in 2009). My biggest takeaway is that I freakin' love Hostess Snoballs and yelled at them when they walked away from an entire truck of Snoballs. Also, Zombieland, enough of the fatism. 1 down and 1,486 horror-loving queers' fave films to go.
